New to Rekordbox 5.3 ....

I have only just atarted using Rekordbox since picking up a DDJ-400.

I have imported my music tracks into the collection and analysed them and created playsts.

I then cleared my collection to import another set of tracks .... analysed those tracks.

Once I have finished with those tracks I have then gone to import the first of tracks which had been analysed however on importing none of the tracks are analysed and no bpm/ key data has been retained and the process has to be done again.

Is this correct all my tracks ar stored on my HD.

Is it really the case that none info is kept once removed from the collection?

Cheers

What do you mean by "I then cleared my collection to import another set of tracks"?

If you removed the tracks from your collection, they're still on your hard drive, but no longer in rekordbox - and thus if you re-import them they have to be analysed again.

Thanks for your reply.

The reason I remove the tracks from the collection is I plenty various genres I don't wish to have them all in one collection albeit I set up playlists and split them down that way.

So what is the best option regard analysing the tracks and removing them from the collection. Tracks stored and then when I need them bringing them back in to collection with a the bpm/ key stored - I used Traktor for a good 10 years and never had this problem once analysed they could be removed and amended with no lose of important information.

@Mark > You're better off leaving them in your collection and then using playlists or filters to split the entire thing down to what you need. The other option is to analyse all your music and browse through the explorer if you have your music organized by folders.
