XDJ-RX master out XLR poor quality

 Hi,

I recently noticed that the master  XLR out sound quality is really bad (horrible) but the quality in XLR from the booth output  and the RCA out are still good.
I tried several cables: same issue.

Would it be possible that the XLR master out are suffering from a loss of signal quality?

Kind regards,

Xavier

I'll agree with what @George posted below (thanks!), the mic inputs typically aren't designed for line level devices. Check if there's a switch on that input for that purpose, or use a different input designed for a line level (sometimes called a "tape" or "AUX" input).

what are you plugging them into? They need to plug into a balaced-line input, if you are plugging them into a microphone input that could be the cause of your bad sound

the XLR inputs on the Zed 10s are labelled "Mic" which I assume are more sensitive than line inputs as the electrical signal that comes out of a microphone is a lot lower than what comes out on a balanced line level device. This may be the root of your issue. Some mixers have xlr inputs that can be used for both mic and line some don't. The only real advantage of using the balanced line outs of your RX is when you are using really long cables, if it's just a few metres you'd be no worse off using the (rca) phono unbalanced outs on your RX to the stereo line in on the mixer.

Yes this is the issue
Xdj Rx has a sertain level of "hiss" wow and flutter so if you
Using a sensitive line in it will amplify the hiss to an extreme
