ID3 tags written to mp3?

Do I understand it correctly that any changes made in Rekordbox to a mp3 file won't be reflected to the ID3 for other DJ software to read?

Sometimes minor adjustments are made which I'd like to see in other programs.

And is it correct that the 'Write the value to the ID3 tag' isn't just to write the key to the ID3 tag. https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115011161386/comments/115005161506

Yes, Rekordbox writes standard ID3 tags to music files. Of course Rekordbox also has some non-standard tags like Color, DJ Play Count etc., which are only stored in the Rekordbox database.

No, the "Write the value to the ID3 tag" checkbox only controls whether the Key is written to the ID3 tag.

Did some testing and the standard ID3 tag was indeed written to the file.

For some reason I thought it would update from a file in another DJ software (Serato) but it needs to be re-added as well.
