DDJ SR2 keeps freezing

 Hi,

My DDJ SR2 will connect ok, load tracks ok and will start playing ok. After a short period of time the unit freezes and then says Error: Failed to connect audio in serato. I am running windows 10

This has made my unit completely unusable. Is there any advice please. I have done all serato asked me to do - as in unistall drivers etc but it has made no difference.

Thanks

Are you using it with an external power supply, or USB power?

Please ensure that Windows is fully updated with all current patches applied, that your firmware and drivers are up-to-date, and try using a different USB port & USB cable.

My Sr2 also keeps freezing , its a brand new out of the box unit have used it just a few times and it crashed on my gigs , i am a mac user , i know now for a fact that it has to be a bug on the controller as i have had no issues when i use the cdj nexus 2 setup with the djm 900 nexus 2 mixer with HID mode , only when i connect my controller i face this issue , has there been a resolve for it yet , spent a lot on this controller and it has become so unreliable , please advice and help  , if it was my mac it should give me issues with the the HID mode Setup as well which has never been the case , sr2 firmware and drivers are all up to date , have changed all necessary cables as well to check , but no luck , yes use the power supply adapter that came with the unit to power up , also have and bought  a 60 watt usb powered hub additional to check if it was indeed my mac book usb ports , but now i am happy that my mac is super fine  , as explained earlier facing issues only when i connect the sr2 ...

Please Resolve this and looking forward to a quick fix and support on this major issue

@Derrick > So many variables; we'd need a lot more information to begin troubleshooting.

Hello again.. Ok.. My computer system Im using is Windows 10. When I select a song to play it will play through several times then all of a sudden it just freezes in the middle or end of song. The controller still be lighted up but, when you hit play you get no action. I have to power off and on for the board to unfreeze to play be able to use properly.

This month I bought the controller DDJ SR2 and I am having the problems when I'm playing, after the certain time the music hangs and even with play nothing happens, so I restart the software and after spending some time playing, again the problem happens. I contacted Serato support and all recommendations for enhancements and improvements were made even with the LatencyMon test which gave everything ok, USB port change, plugged in power cable, internet disabled, anti virus disabled, all updated diver and I also sent the Dxdiag file to prove that my notebook is totally above the prerequisites required by the software, so the serato support asked me to upload a video reporting the moment the error occurs and I sent, but so far nothing has been done to solve the problem. Yesterday I did the test on another notebook that is also above the prerequisites and after some time playing, when I put some filter it made a little noise and the music crashed.

My Notebook: Dell Inspiron 7000 Core i5 7th Gen - (8GB Ram / 1TB HD / 2.7ghz / Windows10)
