Sorry, the rating stored within rekordbox is to the database itself, not the metadata of the file. I'm not sure why it works this way, but we've passed this along to the software team. Thanks for the feedback.
hello,
with every single one of my tracks i can easily change the tags like title, comments, year, album etc.
this doesn't work for the rating, like 1, 2.. 5 stars. however, this does work the other way around. so if i add a rating through windows, reload the tags in RB, it shows up correctly.
now i give every track a personal rating, and i would like it to save in the actual file.
could this be made possible?

hello pulse,
it would be great if i could get an answer to why this is. regardless of the outcome.
thanks
They're going to look into this, but the detailed answer is there is no standard for the "rating" field, which could be a value from zero to 255. If there is a 3/5 star rating, there isn't a defined value for that (translation: not all apps would read it the same if they decided that 3/5ths of 255 is 153, so that will be the value for a 3-star rating).
Apparently iTunes also doesn't write the rating to the file itself, even if other apps do.
i see, this made it completely clear to me. thank you for you time, and keep up the good stuff pulse!
