Open the Audio MIDI Setup application, go to the MIDI Studio window and see if the SX3 is shown there when it's connected.
Haven't seen any posts on this yet so I will explain in full detail. I received my SX3 and as soon as I opened it, I made sure to download drivers and update to the latest firmware. The unit is recognized by my computer because it was able to tell me what version firmware I had, but when I launched Serato DJ Pro, the unit was not recognized. I checked all USB ports and made sure it was the only one connected and restarted the program, the unit, and my computer multiple times. No luck. Basically the issue is that Serato DJ Pro is not recognizing the SX3 unit.
I'm running latest version of Serato DJ Pro on Macbook Pro OS X Yosemite.
Please help me figure out this issue. I do have the black dot next to my barcode so I know it is not one of the affected units.

Ok so I was able to fix the original issue. I re-updated serato and that made it able to recognize the controller. The only issue now is that the play button on the left deck is not working.
I'm having the same issue did you ever resolve it?
