More than one Rekordbox License

Hi,

So i got another rekordbox dj + dvs license, bundled with a recent purchase and i would like to include both licences onto my account, so that i can access them later if something were to happen to the license key printed on paper.

But it does not seem that there is a way of doing that inside rekordbox or by accessing rekordbox website> my account> Licences.

I looked around forums and unfortunately the only way this seems possible is to activate rekordbox on a third computer with the same account but then using the keys we have.

Is there actually a way of doing this without having to activate rekordbox on other computers ?

Hey Cedric,

As long as you have your first license registered and activated, it's recoverable through your Pioneer DJ account (which you can access through the forums, PioneerDJ.com, or rekordbox.com), under your profile > licenses. Plus, as you can activate the first license on up to 2 computers, there's no need to activate the secondary license unless you need to activate on a 3rd or 4th computer - you could even sell it if you want!

If it's just the DVS you want to register, you could activate that and then sell the dj license.

I have thought about this too, as I also have multiple licenses from DDJ-RZ and XP1. I wonder if there could be any reason at all to keep them all for future? Or is it safe to sell thous not in use?

Or is there any reason to regret that in the future?

Its regarding both RBDJ and DVS.

Thanks for informing me Pulse,

But I am a bit worried since licenses are usually bundled with an equipment. Does pioneer allow me to use the license as I wish (include selling it separately) or I must sell an equipment with it's bundled license?

Actually, my current setup provided me with two Rekordbox DJ and DVS Licenses, one is actually being used.

Also, I would like to know if I can deactivate the activation remotely, using my account, so that I can ensure that my licenses are not on other computers that I didn't approve.

@Cedric > Totally your choice to keep or sell it! The rekordbox license is in no way tied to the hardware; you're welcome to sell the hardware without the software. Consider that a DDJ-SX2 user may want to switch over from Serato DJ to rekordbox, or a DDJ-RX user who wants to switch from rekordbox to Virtual DJ.

If you want to deactivate any license you have previously activated, you'll need to file an inquiry ticket here and our rekordbox support team will gather the appropriate details to assist you with that.
