DDJ1000 crossfader off-center on rekordbox software

Hi pioneerdj. I'm Wisco from Cavite-Philippines. I have my new ddj1000 a week ago. But I notice that the crossfader of controller mixer vs the rekordbox mixer is not match at the center. Rekordbox was off-center by -1 line as compare to the controller. Then if I centered it, the crossfader on rekordbox was not moving even I moved the crossfader of ddj1000. Error was +1 line and -1 line from the center.
Is my new ddj1000 unit having the problem or the software or firmware itself?
Is there any actions to resolve this problem? If yes how? Of no, what pioneer will do?
Your prompt reply is highly appreciated. Thank you.

FW 1.06 beta on mine still has a hardware to GUI off set. I've uploaded a video to yt about it and received word back from the engineer team saying they can't do any better due to limitations of the unit!

I'm kind of a grump that this crossfader is not as good as my one I had in my RZ. that was butter smooth and was a pleasure to use. the ddj-1000 fader version is not the same feel nor act in sync with the software. what's more they say its "improved" on the marketing ads? seems to me destroyed it!

however i still believe this is the best unit on the market and I'm just annoyed that the main feature of the mixer is not up to standard.

@Stuart > To be honest, I'm more surprised that you're a house DJ using the crossfader instead of the channel faders! I ripped the crossfader out of my DDJ-SZ the month after I got it. lol

hi pulse. I know what your saying buddy but I'm in a habit of using the crossfader and the gains.

the channel faders are always up and moving 2 fader apose to sliding 1 crossfader is a bit weird for me. my mixing style suits me and I feel its more fluid. I use eq and gain alot in my blends but when I reach the middle point of the crossfader, leave it and level things out, all is well.... until i finish out at a phase and slide the crossfader to close.... the volume jumps up! all due to the software wants to be more to one side.

this is what im gettung on about more. hope you understand what I'm saying lol

Kudos to the Pioneer team for making it better (a lot better!), but funamentally, it's still a crossfader that doesn't work properly and that's disappointing. My centre is 0.5 lines off to the right of middle with 1.06 beta.

This shouldn't be about whether someone does or should use it for whatever type of mixing they do. Personally, I stick mine in the middle and leave it there 99.9% of the time. I just feel a bit short changed by spending £1100 on a console with what seems to be a hardware fault. I wouldn't be happy buying a car where the steering wheel had to be held to one side to make it go in a straight line! :-)

I'm sure Pioneer won't want to provide the detail of why it's off-centre, especially if a hardware fault, as the repair bills will be huge for a recall/fix, but I would like to know if there's any way I can get this fixed myself and if future 1000's will all still suffer from the same problem?

so thats it then? The official advice is to not use the cross fader or rip it out? WOW

Soundwise it works 100% as you would expect now, It is a little off in the centre on screen still but it's 95% of the way there now!

Hey Ravin i just recreated your video and your right the right hand deck does drop in sound. Seems the crossfader just wont centre properly. If you fix the screen crossfader its perfect.

My crossfader is also bleeding sound as well (see my other vid) nightmare!

@Harry > If your crossfader is "bleeding" then you need to adjust the cut lag.

OK , just got my ddj 1000 yesterday and am an avid scratcher

I have updated the firmware to latest version

i initially set my lag setting to 0.4 which and had no bleed from leftside however the right side would bleed when the crossfader is fully to the left, found a semi happy medium by setting the lag to 0.9, obliviously not quite as sharp cuts as my S9 Now

shouldn't you be able to set to minimum lag level e.g 0.1 with no bleed, i have seen others online resetting at 0.3 with no issues and would like as low as possible

is this hardware or software issues, any help wold be appreciated

Hey, I'm having the exact same issue, it's unclear to me if this is only an issue with some controllers or if I should wait for a future firmware update. I just received my ddj 1000 a few weeks ago so I'm contemplating swapping it for a new one
