Well the big blank space would be my first concern... which OS are you running, and do you have all the latest patches / service packs / updates / graphics drivers installed?
I have just recently purchased the DDJ-SX3 and am switching to Serato from Traktor. I have made sure to install all software and firmware updates for the product. However when I open the program it seems it only recognizes the controller but gives me 0 functionality. help

Running Windows 10 updated
Ah, thanks -- thought it was a big problem! lol
And the answers to the other questions?
Yes, I am currently up to date on all drivers, firmware, and software updates.
I'm experiencing a similar issue, the controller loads and all the functions appear to work in serato except the play option. if I unplug the controller the play option appears in the software, if I plug in the controller the play functionality disappears. I've update the driver on my laptop and firmware on the controller, and i'm using the latest version of serato. any ideas on how to get the functionality to work, it's a brand new system out of the box and i'm having issues?
@Nicholas > Can you tell me which build number? Press the windows key + R on your keyboard, and in the pop-up window, type CMD and press return. At the command prompt, type WINVER and press return - you should see a window with the full build / version info.
@christopher > Do you happen to have DVS mode enabled in the preferences?
Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.407)
Check the following:
1. Is the driver software installed?
For the installation procedure, check the Operating Instructions. The driver software and the Operating Instructions can be downloaded from the support page.
2. Is the DDJ-SX3 recognized on your PC/Mac?
Check that the DDJ-SX3 firmware version is displayed - Click the Start button > [Pioneer] > [DDJ-SX3 Settings Utility].
The unit has been recognized if the firmware version is displayed in the About tab.
3. Is a USB device other than the DDJ-SX3 connected to the PC/Mac?
Disconnect any external hard disks, keyboards and other USB devices.
If the PC/Mac has multiple USB ports, try another USB port.
4. Check the sound settings on the PC/Mac.
Please replace DDJ-1000 with DDJ-SX3 when you read the explanation in the linked page.
