Wego3 and the new ipad 2018

Well, posting to the Product & Feature Suggestions forum was not the right place to get assistance (I've moved the post for you), and this is the first I've heard of any issues with the hardware crashing djay 2; I've passed this along to our product team to investigate.

Personally, I think the WeGO3 is better as it works with more apps than the WeGO4, which is limited to our WeDJ app.

Thanks for the immediate response!!! I hope that you can find something for this. I first look at the crash file and there was no crashing software files like djay2 etc . Thanks again!!!

and im asking again: is the wego3 supported or compatible with the new ipad 2018;

the crashings are not from the software djay algoriddim as far I spoke with algoriddim! Continues the wego4 is better with the new ipad 2018? I remind you that for so many years with the iPad Air i had no problems at all. I test the wego3 again with the air and ther was no problems. Mady a conversation with apple or algoriddim or a firmware for wego3 if there is a matter of compatibility? Please help im loosing gigs

Correct!!! The latest version of djay 2 and dj pro after the totally update to the new Dj of algoriddim!! Also I tried and the newest DJAY 3.0.3 and also the wego3 crashes by freezing at the gig stopping the audio and the ipad still playing!!!!!!! I had to reopen it 2-3 times with the app  to continue playing!! I cant find the latest versions of the two apps. Its saws only the new djay!!!

The engineers are looking for some additional information -- if you're able to shoot a video of what happens, that would really help. Specifically, they want to know what you're doing just before the freeze occurs, and from your last text, I gather it's the WeGO3 itself that freezes, not the djay2 app, correct?

I will try to shoot a video but it’s difficult because i don’t now when the crashing happens! I just play mixing the songs. Nothing special like scratching etc...just playing. Yesterday Friday night I tried an iPad Air like a had before the replacement with the new iPad 2018. No crashing at all. But a had to say that all the song from the left jog wheel makes one or two jumps like a had a turntable!!! This was something new! The matter is that with the iPad Air there was no crashing problems!!!! 

Yes when I tried the newest updated DJ algoriddim the wego3 freezes. The iPad was on. With djay 2 or pro the iPad crashes. I remind that at the crashing report there is no crashing file for the app. 

Generally I think there is something with the compatibility of the new iPad and the older controllers like wego3 or reloop beatpad 1. Thanks and I’m waiting for any solutions. 

I understand it's difficult to catch as you never know when it's going to occur, but without a video of the crash, our engineers are having as hard a time replicating it as you are of guessing when it will happen.

@Gri > The engineers have asked if you could please try terminating all background apps so just djay is running and see if the crash occurs?

sory for the delay...

from the first moment I know that it's good not to run applications in the background when I use the dj of the algoriddim. sadly the crashes stay with the new ipad restart while I play and the music stops. this is done at least once in each set! I remind you that I have tried ipad air and there was absolutely no problem. Also, in the file report there is no crash of the dj application. I am desperate!!!

@Gri > Have you tried disabling the WiFi and Bluetooth to troubleshoot if that resolves the crashing?

To follow-up on this issue, our engineers tested with a WeGO3 and iPadPro A1980 (iOS 12.1.1) for about five hours, until the battery was totally discharged. The DDJ-WeGO3 worked fine until the battery was discharged. They used a third party cable (ugreen) USB TypeC to TypeB converter and did not find any issue.

They feel the iPad itself may be the issue, or possibly the apps / iOS installation.

to answer about the wifi!!! When you write it after that before I started a gig I close the wifi and I open the app djay. Until now there’s no crashing problems! This Friday I decided to left on the wifi. After one hour djing the sound just stops output and from the phones! The was still playing!! Anyway I restart everything with no wifi and I keep on!!!!! 

Now i am afraid to use the wifi and a can’t  have the benefits of spotify. My ipad is the new 2018 and I bought it at September of 2018!!! The combination is wego3-ipad 2018 128g ios 12.1.2 4g-djay algoriddim app. Can you make a test with these?

@Gri > Which version of the djay app are you using? They have several now so it can be a bit confusing.

I use the new one! The djay that it seems more stable! I was using the djay 2 and then djay pro but every single set i had the crashings!! The sudden restarting of the iPad and other times the “sound stop”. Thanks for the immediate response!!!e sound stop!
