I am pretty angry tonight. After nearly two years using the DDJ-SR with no real issues, it suddenly last night at a MAJOR CORPORATE EVENT just decided it was going to play up.
I spent over 1.5 hours troubleshooting, and all day today trying to work out what has happened.
When I sound checked last night I could only get very quiet bass sound through the cans and speakers nothing else, so I ended up DJing through my macbook directly, which was hideously painful. We had to take a headphone jack send, so I didn't even have cans.
Today I accidentally got the sound to work by randomly hitting the cue and hot cue buttons and pads. BOOM suddenly the sound is there, no issue. Then, reset, try it all again... we are back to only muffled bass sound. Then again... boom after me literally hitting random buttons it starts to work again.
This is unacceptable Pioneer. I have never, never had an event where i've felt more embarrassed. The crowd had a great time, but that's not the point. I could have given them a BRILLIANT time.
Please help me.

@Rosie > Sorry to hear that, unfortunately your post doesn't provide me enough information to even guess what the problem might have been... not enough power to the DDJ-SR? You engaged an effect? Not sure.
After days of troubleshooting, I have found out that the audio front of house and through the cans starts off really muffled and low, hardly able to hear it. But if I press the buttons Pad Plus On // Combo FX and the blue pad directly under it on each side, then BOOM on comes the sound. I also have to do this on both sides. I found this out by accident, and this has to be done every time the controller is turned on. It appears to hold the sound once this is done, but I don't use the pads.
Not sure if this is relevant, but the sync button like is flickering too, erratically.
I also need to do this whether using Serato or VDJ.
I run a MacBook pro on Mojave, have recently updated firmware.
Your advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
every time i press the right cue button it stops or starts the left deck aswel. i have all the drivers updated and firmwear updated but it still does the same. i have a msi laptop so there's no problem with the laptop.
i've tried uninstalling the programme and re-installing it but it still does the same thing. how can i fix this issue please ???
