Yep, the AUX input is just a line-level input that allows you to keep the main channels loading content from the USB sources. Unfortunately there is no headphone preview or level indicator for the AUX input.
Hi,
I'm planning on purchasing the XDJ-RX2 but I'd like some help to clarify something. This is pretty basic, but I want to double check.
I will be using the controller as a standalone set up (no laptop). However, occasionally, I will need to connect my phone/laptop (I'm a freelance DJ and play for a-lot of private events and thus this is handy for the odd request or sometimes dance performers rock up with only their phone and want to play tracks from that).
Is the AUX input the only way I can connect a mobile/laptop? There is no volume meter and thus I want to avoid using that. Can I connect this to channel 1 or 2 (using a RCA - AUX cable)?
Looking at the volume before playing a track from a source like this + controlling EQs is necessary in my case and thus I need a proper channel for input. I normally use a club set up now (900NXS/NXS2) and just connect it to any avail channel.
Thanks

No I think theyre asking to plug it into either channel 1 or 2 via LINE through RCAs in the back then to use the switch at the top of said chosen channel while mixing to utilize the laptop. I want to do this too to use FL Studio or another DAW where my original samples can be played live via a MIDI board or my PS4 hehe
Yeah, you could switch to the line input on either channel, but keep in mind you'll have different performance depending on whether the mixer mode is RX2 or MIDI.
