Exporting ReKordbox to USB or Hard Disk

Can I export my whole rekordbox library to a hard drive for use in an XDJ-RX2?  I would like to be able to plug a hard drive into my controller with all my music on it.  I have a little over 128 GB of music.  Or perhaps you'd recommend a high capacity USB thumb drive?

What tutorial would you recommend on exporting rekordbox playlists to an external device such as USB or hard disk?  Thanks

Hey Don,

You can use whatever you'd like (although I'd avoid Western Digital Passport drives ... those always seem to be problematic), whether it's a USB flash drive, SSD, or conventional hard drive.

I keep my entire library on an external SSD, then I have exported the playlists and library to that drive as well (which prepares an "export library" for the players to read). You don't need to worry about it doubling-up on the space required, as the software now recognizes that the origin and destination are the same, it doesn't duplicate the file when exporting, it simply links the source.

I think this tutorial will help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sGxfi--y2I

About what external storage to use: as long as it is FAT32 formatted. A lot of people use thumb drives up to 128Gb on their controller. Seems to work flawless.

My self I use a 1TB external SSD via Lightning on my Macbook Pro with RB and Serato..
