Enable 'LINK MONITOR' over wifi

Hi Pioneer

What with 802.11n/ac/ax and Mesh wifi these days can we please enable 'Link Monitor' over wifi.

Love the feature and works perfectly when using LINK hard wired but as the NICs on the CDJ-2000NX2 & DJM-900NX2 are only 100Mbit/s there is a good chance this is now the bottleneck not a high spec router and wifi.

Thx in advance

Andy

You can connect devices over WiFi. If you've tried it and not had success, it could be your firewall isn't configured properly, or that your router is blocking the ports used, filtering the data, or not providing a bridge between the wireless and wired networks for that communication.

And the speed is not an issue - 100Mbit provides more than enough bandwidth. A single  24bit/96kHz WAV audio stream requires 4608kbits/s, so even if you considered a rekordbox link providing four streams to CDJs plus one to a DJM (for link monitor), it would only require 23040kbits, or 23Mbits/s, well below any padding or "real world" maximums of a 100Mbit system.

Hi Pioneer

I've not explained myself well. Link over wifi works fine. I can drag tracks to the CDJs in RB when connected over Wifi

But PIONEER has disabled the 'LINK MONITOR' feature when using Wifi. RB says this exact error message when you drag a track to a DJM on link.

'Impossible to use the function LINK MONITOR in case of wireless connection.'

It's that function I'd like reactivating. Can I modify a local config file as a temporary measure.

Thanks in advance

Hmmm... I haven't tried it recently, but I know it used to work so it's possible they've made a change to that system to prevent it due to performance issues.
