DDJ 1000 problem with low volume at line input

would you please answer my question, is it possible to adjust the input volume at the line input? because after connecting the phone to the line input and setting the gain and master to a maximum volume, the volume is very low compared to the rekordbox mode, before I used ddj sx and there I never had a problem, is it possible to quit this problem?

@Martin > As @Theo outlines below, the line inputs on the DDJ-1000 are fairly comparable to our DJMs; if the line device you're connecting to one of the DDJ-1000 inputs doesn't provide an adequate signal, turning the trim/gain to full may still not adequately boost the signal.

In my testing, I've found the levels to be suitable with an iPad, iPhone, CDJ, XDJ, and many other devices with line-out or headphone-out capability. For those where the output is headphones, it's important to turn the volume to the maximum, and ensure you don't have any volume limiting enabled in the preferences.

Small Line IN issues like your example are spoken over more often in this forum. Line IN needs quite a strong signal, you need to turn the input Trim knob up to 100%. The Phono IN is the other way around, signal level IN is to high, only suitable for DVS. And Master Out has the problem that the sound quality is not that crisp. Could be better. I think this is a tipcal DDJ-1000 mixer thing. Not a big problem, but in some cases it can be.

On the other hand, the signal out from a smartphone is always under the value. The headphone signal standard is not as high as a normal Line Out signal value. You can put the smartphone volume to 100%, or use an extra pre-amp in between.

very nice thank you for replying, but you did not mess with me :( I'm sketched out of it, as far as the sound output, at the edges in the yellow range the sound very easily becomes awake, enough big distortion at the output. I am very disappointed with this sound card, you are not planning to edit it with the new firmware, I have used ddj sx so far and there was a better sound almost no distortion, it does not suit me very well, line in very weak and the master at the end of the yellow paste big distortion :(

@martin > I'm sorry, I think there's something lost in translation -- "you did not mess with me" ??

I can assure you that having the signal into the yellow level indicators on the DDJ-1000 would not cause distortion, there is plenty of overhead to allow for higher signal level before distortion would occur.

You can increase the audio signal output on an iPhone in the settings. Go to Settings > Music > Equaliser > set to "Late Night".

When you play a track on your iPhone, and it's connected on to the Line IN of your DDJ-1000, then put the volume output to 100%. The Line OUT signal from a CD player, etc. is higher then the normal output signal from a headphone Jack connector.

When you would notice distortion on a Line IN with your iPhone, two possible causes can be: 1. Your track/song is distorted. 2. You've used the Phono IN on the back of the DDJ-1000 for your iPhone. Then you need to switch the RCA connectors to Line IN. Don't forget to set the Phone/Line switch on the top of the DDJ-1000 to Line then.
