I own a CDJ 900 Nexus which I purchased for the sole purpose of controlling Deck B over HID mode.
I use both Traktor and Rekordbox.
Every time I fire up Traktor or Rekordbox and connect the CDJ to the software, everything works fine, only for about a couple seconds, after spinning the jogwheel a little bit every button on the CDJ seems to "Freeze". CDJ doesn't disconnect from DJ software, nor does my Macbook Pro fail to recognize the MIDI inputs from the CDJ (tested through Audio MIDI setup)
My computer still recognizes CDJ inputs [i.e. play, cue, beat divide buttons etc.] However Traktor won't responde to my CDJ inputs, nor will Rekordbox.
Everything just locks up and I can't control my deck.
Needed to say if my track is still playing, the CDJ still displays moving through the waveform and spinning of the Jog Wheel display.
I don't believe this is an issue with the CDJ, at all. I also don't beleive this is a USB cable issue because even after the CDJ freezes, my computer is still successful at recognizing CDJ inputs when tested with Audio MIDI setup.
It is the DJ SOFTWARE. Traktor, and Rekordbox I believe; just not wanting to respond to my commands on my brand new $2000 CDJ.
Super annoying, having to always restart the CDJ and reconnect, only to have it freeze up again, and again, and again. VERY anti-climatic.
Spces and shit:
Macbook Pro A1226 (2007)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz
6GB DDR2RAM
OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks
Traktor Pro 2.8.1/Rekordbox 5.4.2
CDJ 900NXS Firmware 1.31
Chroma USB cable.
What's going on?
Why isn't my DJ software responding to my CDJ commands though it is still technically connected via. HID (link)?
Is there drivers I need?
NO I WILL NOT UPLOAD A VIDEO
(sorry Pioneer, No offense. Native Instruments always harasses me for videos, I hate it).
