11) Any other notes regarding your setup only: no.
12) Provide as much detail of the issue here:

I own a pair of cdj2000nxs2.
When I connect them to my PC and try to play via rekordbox in "export" mode, I get an error:

Media File Is Collapsed Or Unavailable
E-8302: CANNOT PLAY TRACK (C658)

This error appears with every track I try to select.

I've installed all the necessary drivers along with the latest rekordbox update and performed a firmware update on both decks without any results.

At first, the issue wasn't persistent, i.e., I could've played a few tracks before this message appeared. It also wasn't present on both decks at once - it could appear on one deck but the second one was still able to play tracks via rekordbox (not for long though - a couple of tracks more and this error appeared on the second deck as well).

However, after a while the error message started to appear right after I connect my decks to rekordbox. Which didn't make much difference since being able to play only 3-4 tracks is almost the same as not being able to play anything. At this point you can already imagine how frustrating this was for me.

Upon searching the internet for the possible solutions, I've tried to perform some tests myself, like disabling my firewall and antivirus for a while (no luck). I've found out that the issue doesn't appear if I delete my rekordbox database (%APPDATA%\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox\datafile.edb). If rekordbox doesn't find a database ("Library") and creates an empty one, I can easily add and play whatever I want. After I import the database back to rekordbox, the error appears again.
I've tried to backup and restore my database using the rekordbox menu with no results whatsoever.

So, the issue narrows down to my database being corrupted somehow.

Please advise on how to repair my database, as I'm definitely not willing to create a new database and manually add hundreds of tracks, playlists and cue points again.

I'd also like to mention that yesterday was the last day of my rekordbox trial, so if you'd like me to test any of your solutions, you should either extend my rekordbox trial or activate rekordbox for me. Under any circumstances I won't pay for the product that makes me unable to take advantage of my own work. Especially considering the amount of money I've already spent on your flagship product (CDJs). This app should be free for those who buy your most expensive player, and I was very disappointed when it started to remind me about payments. Please advise on this as well.

Looking forward to getting a reply from you.

@DJ WAR > Sorry to hear that - let's see if we can't get you sorted.

What's the source location of your music files? Are they on the internal drive of the computer? Or external? Or network share? Typicaly the "collapsed" error is because the network communication drops out (almost always points to a firewall or connection issue).

I understand your frustration with not getting a free license of rekordbox dj, however the decision was made to not provide a license as the majority of CDJ users would be operating rekordbox only in export mode, not necessarily connecting their units as HID controllers. You are still able to use rekordbox in EXPORT mode to manage your music, export music to USB drives, and link to players.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

All your questions are answered in my original post, in the form you require to fill out before posting anything, so I'm not sure why do you ask it again.

However, I've figured it all out myself.

For some reason, the majority of my rekordbox database had a lowercase letter for the drive letter in the file path. Only a couple of files had capital letter. Luckily, I've selected one of those files when I was trying to find a solution again.

I don't know how this lowercase situation happened because I've added all my files via usual dragging and dropping into rekordbox.

Here's how I resolved it:

1. Renamed the folder where all my files are stored.

2. Used "Display missing files" feature in RB.

3. Relocated the files.

4. Renamed folder back.

5. Relocated files again.

Now all files have capital letter in their file path and I can access them from my decks.

Ok, I wrote the guide above for those who also stumble across this problem.

Now it's complaint time.

It's 2019. Are you REALLY building a Windows app with case sensitive file path? Like, FOR REAL?!! This stupid problem sounds like it's from 90s!!!

I know that you're not with the developers team but please forward this to them. Nobody should spend HOURS on it like I did. This issue is ridiculous, and I don't know why do I have to work as your manual QA tester for free.

Also, being unable to manually edit file location is weird and inconvenient.

You should address these issues in the future release of your app.

Hope my message will help someone.

Have a nice day.

There are still many systems where case dependency is a requirement.

Glad you were able to resolve the issue.
