@J L > MyTags are specific to rekordbox and are not stored in the file metadata. They should still be retained; have you imported those tracks to the library and are you browsing them through the COLLECTION portion of the tree?
I've recently started working with ALAC files (because I organise things in iTunes and want to save a bit of space by not using WAVs) and I've noticed that when I add My Tags to them the tags don't stick.
When I close and re-open RB the tags have all disappeared. I also use the handy 'Add My Tag to Comments' feature, which makes smart playllists easy in iTunes, but that doesn't work either. When I re-open iTunes the comments are blank for those files.
Anyone know if there's a solution for this?

Yes, they're imported tracks and I'm looking at them in the collection portion.
Just to follow up on this, it's definitely a problem with ALAC files. As soon as they're converted to another file type and imported as new files the tags stick and the comments copy over to iTunes successfully.
Can you confirm which tags you're talking about?
The ones under the “My Tag” panel. The genre/situation ones
@J L > Those tags are internal (created and used by rekordbox) and are not stored in the metadata of any rekordbox-compatible filetype, sorry.
