Delay

Every time I connect my ddj-rb to my laptop there is a delay on record box no matter what audio type I use

Have you configured the audio buffer (latency) to the lowest possible setting before audio drop-outs / skips occur?

Do you possibly have the output of the DDJ-RB connected to a home-theatre amplifier which has audio processing and may cause a delay?

Open the rekordbox preferences to the Audio tab and the slider is near the top:
