DDJ SR

I have a DDJ SR controller and last week the right cue button (round silver one) was not working all the time. So I took the controller to a very renowned technician. He changed the cue button switch and also the play (right) and the load buttons (left and right) as he told me that their switches needed to be changed. When I got it back, I tried it out and now these buttons are not working (cue headphones - left and right) and load buttons (left and right). None of these buttons are working. My technician said that he cannot do anything about it as the switches are doing the contact. He told me that its a software problem and that i should do patching.. I googled it but i couldnt find anything about it. Can you please help me ? It is quite urgent as i need the controller to work 100% in a week's time. Thanks

Well, it's entirely possible that some damage to the unit during the repair process is to blame for the other buttons no longer functioning, but that's purely speculation.

If you want to test if it's hardware or software, you can get a MIDI monitor for Windows or Mac and then test to see if the buttons, when pressed, log any activity in the software.

Your best bet is to find a Pioneer repair shop and keep this situation in mind next time you need something repaired.
