Yes, it's universal voltage, and unfortunately, yes, it is notoriously difficult to find an off-the-shelf replacement.

For the record, it's a 5.0x3.3mm with centre pin, tip positive (apparently known as an HG7). The majority of those connector types seem to be for laptops and are rated 17V-26V, which is more than the 12V required by the various Pioneer DJ units for which this adapter is compatible.

The only one I know of is at our parts supplier, but it's really expensive. I'd almost be more inclined to buy two different adapters and chop the ends off myself.

Hi Alvaro,i'm in search for a second ac adapter..for now i've found only the connector on ebay and then i need to buy a 12v\36w adapter and solder the connector, the adapters only have 5.5x2.5\2.2 connectors usually..here's the link to an italian shop that sales the connector  https://www.ebay.it/itm/SPINA-ALIMENTAZIONE-VOLANTE-DC-CON-SPINA-CENTRALE-5-5-X-3-3-X-1-mm/292483405084?hash=item44195e951c:g:JacAAOSwho1aqWHB:rk:1:pf:0

Slightly off topic here: is the AC adaptor universal voltage (110-240v)?

Ok so i've made my second ac adapter for the DDJ1000!Total cost about 26euros,i've buyed a 12v\36w adapter and a 5,5x3,3 connector on ebay, then i've cut the original 5,5x2,5 connector from the adapter and i soldered the new connector,if you have a little skill with electronics you can made by yourself or go to an electronic center andmake it solder for you..Like Pulse said the 5,5x3,3 connector usually is used by Samsung or Sony on their laptop chargers but those are usually 19v adapters,so the best solution is to attach a new connector on a right ac\dc adapter,i've tested with my unit and it work flawlessy so in emergency case i've had a second adapter..

Hi.

Just need a clarification. In this thread Pioneer says it's 5.0x3.3 mm,

While this thread (link) says it's a 5.5x3.3mm.

Which one is it?

regards
