BPM info missing after importing tracks to playlist

Basic Info to start:

Rekordbox Version: 5.4.3
OS: Windows 10 (x64)
Issue consistent and Reproducible: Yes
Impact: High

Issue:

I was using Serato for some time and decided to move to RB. I have about 35,000 tracks on my external HDD analyzed and arranged in about 10 crates with BPM and Key (in classic) info written in ID3 tags by Serato. When I checked in RB explorer, BPM and key information was available for tracks in RB as well.

I created the playlist's in RB using same folders I used to make crates in Serato. When I was done I found that tracks imported into playlist are missing BPM info in both playlist and RB explorer now. I checked and found that BPM info is still there in track properties in windows explorer.

BPM info will only be visible when I analyze the tracks in RB again or add the tracks by selecting them from each folder individually (Selecting entire folder and subfolders cause this issue). BPM info is available in RB explorer if I remove the from My collection in RB. Unfortunately, it's gonna take time and I am not able to do it at the moment due to time limitations.

Troubleshooting Performed:

I tried following steps to resolve this, none worked-

- Reloading tags in playlist/explorer
- Removing tracks from collection and adding again.
- Making playlist using Mp3Tag and importing it.
- Changing ID3 tag to V2.4 and adding folder back into playlist.
- Checking behavior for files stored on local storage, found same behaviour.
- Deleting database and repeating above steps.
- Repeating all the above steps on another laptop.

Do let me know if there is anything I am missing or is it a bug which is overlooked.

As you can see from this metadata matrix, BPM is not a tag that is read into rekordbox. It analyses tracks and builds its own beat grid and tempo measurement, which is what's displayed within the collection.

Thank you for the response. However, as I mentioned the RB explorer was able to read the BPM info from meta data just fine. It was only the issue when tracks were added to playlist and collection. Also, when tracks were added by selecting from individual folder they retained the ability to read BPM info but when selected in bulk they lost it.

When a track is analysed by rekordbox, it will overwrite whatever data you had in that field.

Ok, let me reiterate the question in Rekordbox terms.

.

When auto analysis on Rekorbox is disabled, can it display the normal properties for song in playlist (like BPM and Key which it does when browsed through Rekorbox explorer)?

PS: Nothing is overwritten by Rekordbox to any file, it maintains and read file properties from DB it creates.
