When you say that you're playing a track from Soundcloud, do you mean you're using the DDJ-SR as your Windows default audio device, and the volume there is quiet?
What if you play a song from within Serato?
Bonjour

Sorry, that was not clear - is it normal volume when using Serato?
Non il est trop bas
Have you adjusted the channel gain, master volume, and checked the volume level within Serato for both the deck and the master program volume?
Yes everything seems to be ok, but as i said i have this problem with Serato and with other applications like soundcloud or the media payer... So i don't think the problem comes from serato
Are you using the DDJ-SR with just the USB power or are you also using the external DC power supply?
Just with the USB power
That could certainly be part of the issue -- with USB power only, the output power is limited. Please try using the external power.
I just noticed that the controller can only be powered by usb
Sorry, my mistake - without having the unit in front of me it's hard to keep them all straight! The SR2 had external power, but you're correct, the SR was USB-only.
Are you able to test this with another computer to see if it has the same results?
I come back to you after many days without finding a solution.
I wasn't and still not able to test with another computer.
But i found where the issue comes from : the usb cable, the only thing I didn't think of. By testing with another cable I noticed that the sound was way louder. But this time I have no sound coming from serato. Do you know what could be the issue and how can i fix it ? Thank you
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by no sound coming from Serato? If that's not where the sound is coming from, where is it coming from?
And the USB cable will make a difference; again, if the cable is somehow limiting the amount of power being delivered from the computer to the SR, it won't function properly - in this case, a lower volume.
I did a right click on the volume to opened the peripherics list and right clicked on ddj sr then clicked "test", and the volume was louder
But no sound at all in serato
Have you installed the drivers?
