Duplicates wouldn't be a problem if it weren't a matter of importing the same song twice.
When you reorganized your music, it sounds like you imported the songs a second time instead of relocating the existing (now missing) songs, is that correct?
So frustrating.
I'm trying to reorder my collection and ended up putting a load of tunes in the same file under a year name eg 2017. With sets i always make a playlist of tunes from my collection. The problem with this is when reorganising my tunes recordbox will only find one import of the song and if i try to replace it with one already in the collection it says, 'there is already a file of that name in that location'.
now all my playlists have '!' signs where there has been the same song imported a number of times. Why can't recordbox system a feature where the files that where imported could both go to the same location on the drive. this way it would stop this ridiculous message. it feels like a very old clicky piece of shit software.
ive been orgaising my files all night, but then when updating the databases in rb, serato and traktor recordbox just wont find my files. I wouldnt use recordbox if it wasn't so essential to organising my tunes for clubbing with a USB. because it just feels so terrible to use, despite its 'positive' features. the file system to traktor is soooo much better.
Plus the sync manager is terrible too.
SORT IT OUT.

yeah thats exactly what i did, ive sorted it now in a way. now im faced with another problem.
Basically, RB wont export to my pendrive or hard drives anymore. ive reformatted both drives yet it still won't sync, when i click on the playlists i want on the drive, it loads fast on the loading bar as if it was putting the data on the drive but when i get to the drive there is no contents folder or no database found when i plug it in to my XDJ RX2. Ive been through the process of removing the entire database off the drives before and it makes me wonder if my mac is recognising the drives and telling recordbox not to put the database on these drives.
Help me! if i had any hair i would be pulling it out!
@James > Try this... quit rekordbox, format one of your drives (ensuring FAT32 or HFS+), and give it a new, unique name. Open rekordbox and try exporting again - just one playlist with a handful of files to test. See if that works in the RX2.
Re: the lack of hair; sorry, can't help in that department... I've got all mine. :p
