Check that you don't have any other background services running; drive indexing, Cortana, antivirus, malware scanners, etc... all of those can cause a massive hiccup in CPU cycles.
Hi,
((DDJ-RR - - Windows 10, Intel Core i7 8th Gen, 8gb RAM, SSD))
Firstly I've never had this problem previously. Upgraded to 5.5.0 and during a set in a club lastnight with a dance floor full of people the program just suddenly froze, music stopped and the controller became unresponsive. Then about 15 seconds later the music started up again and all was back to normal!
Please help, This can't happen again I'm working twice again this week!!!
Thanks,
Steve

The laptop is streamlined for DJ use only. I have no internet connection when DJing and there are no other obvious services running... although saying that I think Cortana may be as I can't seem to disable it!? BUT this has never caused a problem in the last year. Seems more a coincidence since this update!

And there are also chances that Windows updates have introduced changes to the system that could result in these issues. If you have a chance to test it before your next gig, launch the resource monitor and check to see what might be occupying the most CPU / RAM if that happens again.
Ok I will have a look, thank you
