Rekordbox Lyric - lyrics out of sync

Hello, I’m about to embark on the Lyric+Video journey. I think where you guys are going is absolutely amazing. HOWEVER, I notice that on tracks purchased through my record pool, BPMSupreme, lyrics are out of sync with the song. Tracks purchased on iTunes seem to be fine, however. Rekordbox doesn’t give me an indication as to why this is happening.

So two questions:

1) why is the out of sync issue happening?
2) Rekordbox needs to have more customization capabilities when it comes to Lyric. Like Lyric editing, beat matching of lyrics, especially for remixes and alternate versions (which is a huge portion of my library, I’m sure I’m not alone in the DJ world here!)

Again, this is an amazing feature and I plan on using it in live sets soon.

Glad you like lyric!  Two things-

 

You can adjust the speed of the tracks start in MS so if it comes in to slow you would speed it up and if it starts to soon you would slow it down.  Go to the lyric window and click the ABC box, then click Motion and at the bottom of the screen is the DELAY COMPENSATION box where you can adjust the timing of the track in or out.

Also you can request exact versions of songs, but with remixes it can mess up if the program is based on the original non-edited version of the track.  Suggesting this to Cotodama would be your best bet..

It´s possible to edit and make your own lyrics. Pioneer get their lyrics from a service called Petitlyrics, you can visit the here https://petitlyrics.com/en/. What you need to do to make lyrics is to download their app Petitlyrics Maker, and then you can choose to use a song from Spotify or stored on your phone. It´s very easy and fast to do it once you´ve done it a couple of times.

Be aware that this is a japanese service so if the song is not on japanese spotify it won´t show in the app. And some songs you have to have a japanese ip adress location to download the lyrics from.
