Connecting djm-450 to laptop, using turntables.

Hi

I've just bought the DJM-450 because I was told it had dvs built into it.

My setup:

— 2 x turntables

— DJM-450

— Laptop

— Rekordbox

I have everything plugged I'm.

I've currently tried all channels,  phono as well as laptop icon.

When laptop icon is selected, Rekordbox bpm figure appears, suggesting it recognises the connection.

But when I drop needle on record (purchased rekordbox control vinyl) it does not recognise.

Can you please outline what I'm missing?

I was led to believe you simply had to buy the mixer, download rekordbox, buy the vinyl and away you go

I look forward to your response.

Cheers

If you're on a Mac, first, make sure you properly installed the drivers. Then, make sure you've allowed rekordbox access to the audio input (System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone > rekordbox).

Finally, have the input selectors on the DJM set to the PC / USB option, and toggle the output option in the Setting Utility from Control Tone Phono to another option and back:

Did you ever fix the problem? I am have the same issue. I am on relative mode and nothing. I get no signal from the turntables to the computer.

I figured out that unlike Serato, you do not connect your turntables to The Line, connect them on Phono and switch Input Selectors to PC.
