No idea, but I would suggest you don't connect your drive to your phone again!
I plugged my export device (SSD type-c) into my android phone to try and view something on there via my phone as I didn't have my laptop to hand (laptop was at friends) Couldn't find what I wanted so later I'll on after I got laptop back I plugged export device into rekordbox, all my playlists have disappeared? My collection is there but it's showing nothing on my export drive by way of playlists? When I look on export device through windows viewer it's put an android folder on there which I can only assume is from my phone but there is the pioneer folder missing which must've had all my playlist info and files on?... Anybody got any idea what could've happened... Also, I've made regular backups via rekordbox on my pc if all playlists info can all be restored that way and would be easier could someone point me in the direction of instructions on how to do that it's be great.
Cheers.

As for backups / restorations, it's simple...
File > Library > Backup Library and then choose to include the music or not. A zip file is created, and a folder of music (if you chose that).
File > Library > Restore Library to restore the zip file and overwrite your current library.
That won't restore my playlist info though will it? Reason I'm asking is to avoid any problems in future, I know I can make a backup of my music library and restore that, but say in the future if this happens again, is there way to to backup everything, cue points, loop points playlist info the lot, EVERYTHING? Seen an option on menu on interface saying 'export playlist xml' does that save all your playlists folders incase you lose everything so you can restore playlist info with music library incase of a serious problem with export device?
A backup / restore will do exactly what it sounds like ... to the entire library. The only thing it doesn't do is your export devices.
Don't bother with the XML; that's used for exchanging data with other applications.
So there is no way of saving your playlist data incase of a restore?
The playlists are stored when you backup as noted. If you have previously exported them to a device, they could be restored from the USB device.
Can you walk me through how to restore playlist to export device from the backups I've made through rekordbox menus please. I cannot find any tutorials to do this. Just to clarify, I have made backups through rekordbox menus while export device is connected to rekordbox. It saved the backups as zip file stored on my hard drive.
You're asking two different things... do you want to restore your database from the backup you created? Or do you want to import a playlist from an export device to recover it / the music?
I want to get everything back onto my export device. Can I get that from the backups I've made, from the zip folder?
Just to state, nothing is showing by way of playlists when I connect my export device to my laptop into rekordbox, I was under the impression that if I made backups from rekordbox menus that everything would be backed up, cue points, playlists etc... My collection is showing when I connect my export device to rekordbox via my laptop but no playlists are there. Does the backup feature not backup everything?
Johny > Yes, if you use the BACKUP and RESTORE, then yes -- it will contain EVERYTHING. But it if you're importing from the export device, then no... that's not he same thing.
