To clarify some details...
- the music and database both exist on the external drive, correct?
- your colleague copied a playlist to your drive... was that an export from his rekordbox to your external drive?
Hello, I am very organised in terms of file management. Ik work on two computers with an external drive. Works fine. Now I have one issue. My colleague copied playlist to my drive which I have to use this week for my sets. The playlist works fine, the audio files are in folder Contents I would likt to move these files to my main audio file folder. If I do so, of coarse the file is missing and it will not play. But what is strange rekordbox does not include it in missing files. If I click display missing files it says no missing files. Therefor I cannot link these playlists to to correct location.
If I move the files back to the Contens folder it will work again. How can I move this contents folder to MAINMUSIC/contents and relink?
Thanks!

Both question answer is YES
Okay, so the problem here is your colleague was likely exporting from THEIR collection to your export device, so naturally, it's not in YOUR collection.
To import it, right-click on the playlist on the device (not under your collection), and IMPORT PLAYLIST. That will copy the playlist in, and ask where you want to put the audio files; select the folder you use to store your music, and all will be fine.
Great! I have found another work around, but i remember this one for the next time!
Thanks!
