Back-to-back DJ'ing with RB-DMX1

Hi,

I want to DJ back to back with 2 DJ's with the following equipment:

- DDJ-1000
- RB-DMX1 Lighting unit
- 2 laptops

We want to connect one laptop (1) on the DDJ-1000 to A (channels 1 & 2) and the other laptop (2) on the DDJ-1000 to B (channels 3 & 4). And we'd like the RB-DMX1 unit to send signals from both laptops to the lighting fixtures. The RB-DMX1 is connected via USB to laptop 1. Both laptops are macbook pro's with USB-C and with the latest version of Rekordbox 5.5.0.

How can I go about doing this? If I need to buy extra equipment to get this working, please let me know.

The RB-DMX1 is getting the lighting phrases and sending the information out to the lights you have numbered in the universe.  It will only work from one source, doing a back to back would be tough since you would need a second box and you'd have to switch the DMX out cable each time from laptop to laptop.  Another thought would be to have you switch the USB cable each time and then it would run off the other DJs light show if they had the same fixtures set up in the DMX universe.
