The brake effect should work, same a power-down.
Ok guys,my DDJ1000 feel lonely so i've take out of the box my 1210s(i love them again after 27years..)And i've put RB control vinyls for my first DVS experience..GOOD! i've said when i start to spin..the only doubt it's about the turntable brake, because when i stop the platter Rekordbox cut the music without the classic brake effect so..Is it normal that Dvs don't "read" the platter slowdown? There's some trick to have the real brake from the vinyl or in Dvs(i said Serato,Rb ecc) i must use the Vinyl brake fx?This is the only "trouble" with my first hour in DVS mode, because the control is very accurate.

When you use the controller in vinyl mode (or simply the software with the mouse) and you stop a track do you get the vinyl brake?
If you don't, check the touch/brake settings in RB preferences > controller > deck > vinyl speed adjust.
@Pigi > Thanks, but he's already said he's using a control vinyl for DVS, that tells me it's not the brake setting.
all you need to do is lower the noise level in the dvs setting.
this will hear the vinyl slow down to a stop thus giving you the break effect.
if the noise level is set high then when the vinyl gets slower it simply stops the track.
however having it to low will pick up unwanred noise and makes the track slurr when lifting the arm and giving it a jiggle.
find your sweet spot with the noise slider.
@Ravinstomper Thanks!i don't think about the noise level as i made the "auto" calibration for the DVS,first i've adjusted the brake on the 1210s,it's a little bit better but the stop sound too artificial for me,specially with the keylock engaged..i'll try soon to change the noise level, thanks again.
no probs. you can also try the instant release effect. vinyl brake. set it to your preferred length.
