XDJ-1000MK2 1.4.1 firmware update bricked both decks

Hey ya'll,

I'm a user of the Pioneer XDJ-1000MK2 which I've had a pair of for over a year now. They have been absolutely fantastic and we're all huge fans.

I recently was requested by an artist that is playing for us this weekend to make sure that our mixer was updated to the latest firmware, so after I did that and took the opportunity to update the XDJs as well. They were on 1.4.0, and the latest firmware is 1.4.1. 

The firmware update was simple, loaded the file onto the USB and booted into update mode, plugged in and did the update. Powered off and on, and then we were going to give the decks a go. Both decks reflect that they are now on 1.4.1.

Neither deck would read any of our USBs. Before you plug a USB in, you could mess with any of the settings, click any of the buttons on the decks, all good. You plug one in, the light around the USB hole flashes like it's attempting to read it, then after like 10 seconds it stops and now the entire machine is bricked. The touch screen doesn't respond, and neither do any of the physical buttons. All there is to do is to restart the machine, and then it does the same thing.

The thing that leads me to believe that this is not a coincidence is that BOTH decks are behaving the exact same way. They were both purchased on separate days (one was replaced) but have both worked perfectly ever since I got them. Now they are both bricked in the exact same way.

The weirdest thing is that I can't find a single instance of this happening to anybody else with this particular version on the web. The version has actually been out since August 2018. 

Does anybody have any similar experience with this? Is there anyway that I can downgrade back to 1.4.0? I can't find the download for that firmware update, and even if I did, most reports online say that these machines do not support downgrades. 

I have reached out to customer support and logged a ticket which has been escalated, but they recommended I come here to see if anybody has a similar experience so I'm going through all possible avenues to see what can be done about this.
