Latency issue with Android WeDJ App with DDJ 200

WeDj app for android now supports DDJ 200.
Unfortunatly, there's a serious latency issue.
Track starts nearly 1/2 beat late after i press play button.
I wonder how this happens when the app for ios just works fine.
Wish Pioneer notice and fix the issue as soon as possible...
It is quite frustrating. Is there any plan for Update??
Pls respond

Good Evening to you all.

I experienced the same problem as described previously. I see these comments are older than a year and there are no changes. The problem still exists even on flagship devices with android.

The DDJ 200 still available to buy however it is useless.
It is on a toy level.

I just spent £ 860 for my setup, and the only good thing in it was my Galaxy tap S6.
I'll try to find a solution but if I can't find I'll return your product on Saturday

I think this is not a professional attitude from a worldwide company.

Sorry for my bad English.

The issue is not the controller, but Android itself. Even if you are playing with the app without controller, youll be experiencing the same lag, because sound is reproduced out of sync, so its audio driver related

Sorty, its not Android issue, but wedj app issue. Try to play with algoriddim or edjing and should work as a charm

See earlier posts; performance is not guaranteed on any Android app / device.

Hi all,

Just checking to see if users are still experiencing problems with the latest version (1.1.1.3); if you are, please post a reply with the model of your device as well as the OS version, and if possible, a video of the issue experienced.

Thank you.

Hi, even on my new S20 and the new app, i still Get some delay between software playback and real audio from speaker. I always have to sync using the visual. Its improved, but must be 0ms lag to dj flawlessly.

Hi all,

Just to add - I'm using WeDJ version 1.1.1.3 on Android 11 on a Google PIxel 4 and i get the same latency issue. The very same 1/2 beat that's mentioned throughout the thread.

I also get the same issue on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A running 1.1.1.3 on Android 10.

I'm not using the DDJ 200 rather the WeGo 4, but the issue is exactly the same as described here

I have the exact same issue on a Samsung S10+ with WeDJ - I have a half beat delay when playing tracks, also EQ control is very laggy. This is using a wired speaker (not Bluetooth).

When I use a trial version of Algoriddum Djay with the same setup, there is no delay.

I find the excuse that Android is fragmented to not hold any water when your competitors can release software that works with no delay.

Its just a big embarassment for your company, not being able to develop an app that works on Samsung, while competitor apps work just fine.

I have the same problem, latency is about 1/2 beat.
Algoriddim DJay Pro goes well.

It is not a bluetooth problem. It is not an Android problem.

IT IS A WEDJ PROBLEM.

I have a Galaxy Tab A7 and there are no problems with latency using my DDJ-200 with djay or WeDJ... so why are we blaming WeDJ?

Its great that you personally have no issues on your A7 tab, however, there are multiple Android users corroberating the 1/2 beat latency issue, and the fact that its specific to the WeDJ app. It would be very helpful if Pioneer could put some effort into reproducing the issue and reporting their findings here.

What I'm suggesting by that is there is likely not an issue with the app, but rather something in your audio settings. Have you disabled the Dolby Atmos, for example?
