Im gonna be playing this Friday using the setup as outlined above. I will be using three decks, two xdjs and one cdj (because a part of my collection are flacs).
That said, a question - I'm gonna be playing off of a single USB stick. Which player should be the one with the stick, one of the xdjs or the cdj? What are the pros and cons of both approaches, any experiences? Thanks!!

I set up 2x CDJ2000 Nexus & 2x XDJ1000 (mk1) recently, worked great, however you will need to connect each device via network lead to a small (unmanaged) network switch. You might also need to configure each player's number so that they don't clash with each other, I found it easiest to do this before connecting them to the switch as you can't have two with the same player number on the same network. Just number them from left to right 1, 2, 3 & 4. The USB sockets worked as expected in all 4 players without issue
