Xdj-xz slip mode not holiding

Just bought the new xdj-xz and when I try to use slip mode it does not hold correctly. Say if I scratched in slip mode it does not stay in beat when released, This also happened several times pressing the slip loop buttons and also just stoping the track and it starts in the wrong place. I have 2 cdj2000nxs2 connected and the slip mode holds perfect on them. All tracks are correctly analysed.

At 35 secs in the first video, the ’main quantise’ is switched off. Might be that you are accurate with your scratching, but just runs out of sync slightly with each scratch. Try scratching with the main quantise switched on and let me know as I’m keen on getting the XDJ-XZ soon. 👍🏻

I've tried it with a variation of sync on/off quantise on/off etc but still the same problem  it also does it on the slip loop on the pads. also using cues with sync its not very accurate. i have a set of 2000nsx2 and don't have this or any problems at all. there are defiantly some bugs that need addressing. i was also experiencing crackling noise when connected via rekordbox.  i would wait a few months until they iron out these issues. i sent mine back as no good for me like this with my style of mixing. its a decent unit and sounds really good though.

Appreciate you coming back and take on board your last comment - thanks.

Does it go out of sync on channels 1 & 2, i.e. using the internal sound card and usb for reading the tunes? I’m wondering whether it’s a slow reading usb stick or maybe a lag from an external source if you’re using Rekordbox on channels 3 and 4 (slow laptop creating some latency)?

Obviously the 2000nsx2 decks are superior, but I used to have a similar lag issue with my old CDJ100S decks. When I would apply any of the FX on either deck it would introduce a slight delay and kick the timing out by a few ms. So you would have to give the tune a nudge to re-sync. I would put that instance down to latency on old hardware, but would hope the XDJ-XZ would sync up in your instance....

Quick question that I haven’t been able to find out definitively anywhere (I’ve read thru the manual). Can you mix without analysing the tunes, i.e. slap some tunes on your usb stick and mix by ear?. I DJ’ed this way back in the day and am getting back into it, but not sure I’m keen on the decks doing the work - know what I mean?

rekordbox functions work fine except i was experiencing a popping noise so had to raise latency. the issue was only via usb.

as far as i know you can play straight from usb without analysing the tunes but effects etc would not be in time so would have to tap the bpm in.

Anyone find a solution? On my xdj-xz i have the same problem. With or without sync slip mode is not holding the tempo...

Edit: updqte to 1.10 firmware solved the problem
