That's because you had the input selector for that channel set to USB-B.
Was at a gig Friday. Channel 2 had a track playing. Mixed in a track on channel 1 and all of a sudden channel 2 has “in use” come up on the screen. I ejected the track playing and tried to load the next track but can’t load anything to channel 2 now. Just showing “in use”. Luckily I loaded the next track to channel 4 and that worked fine the rest of the night.
At the end of the night I restarted both the controller and my MacBook Pro but it’s still showing as “in use”?
Deck 2 button is unresponsive
This was running Serato dj pro while plugged into USB port A
I tried it on USB port B and channel 2 works!
there was no additional equipment plugged into the phonos to give a signal to make it think it’s in use.
any ideas please

Nope not that. It’s on usb A
Also if I press deck 4 that works but when I press deck 2 it won’t switch back?
All of this works fine using usb B
Please connect the USB to port B and switch all inputs over to USB B; your decks should all show as being available. Toggle all the switches back over to USB A and they'll show IN USE. Disconnect the USB from port B and connect it to port A, confirm for me if the deck 2 still shows IN USE or not.
I tried this and deck 2 showed as thru?
THRU means the deck is on a line input... it sounds like it's possible your CH2 input selector switch is malfunctioning. Can you try flipping it back and forth a few times just to see if perhaps it's something like food or dust that's preventing it from working as expected? DO NOT put anything in there to try and clean it.
