Oddly enough, try increasing the size of your audio buffer a notch or three and see if that makes a difference in the library performance speed.

RB lag when handle huge library
im using osx catalina macbookpro13 2012.. when import huge audio(100k)from main ssd drive the RBv.5.8.3 it suddenly became slow at browse files
