Unable to Turn Play History into Playlist - Video files.

This post is for informational purpose only. I edited it after I discovered that rekordbox allows video playlist creation only by dragging the file or folder from it's root directory in windows explorer onto the video playlist section. Is not the same process as dealing with audio playlists where u can drag a track from collections direct to a playlist.

When I go to "explorer in tree view", find the folder and right click to select "import as playlist". When I do that, No video playlist is generated. When I manually add a video playlist folder and I drag MP4 files into it from tree view (explorer, not collections), the playlist still remains empty! The file exists only in collections, but the playlist is empty. Not to mention you can't also drag a video file from collections direct into a playlist!

When I go to my video play history and attempt to turn history into playlist, nothing happens.

I think it's a bit of a pain in the ass designed for us video dj's LoL!

Rekordbox team, please...

UPDATE: I have just discovered the process!

I have to drag the files from WINDOWS EXPLORER onto a particular video playlist I want to add them into. I just dragged a folder onto the video playlist section and it automatically created a playlist with that folder's name.

I wonder why it won't create one from within rekordbox. A bit dumb to me :(

I was nearly done creating a support ticket on this! I won't be creating a ticket now.

Thank goodness!

Wow just sold my ddj 1000 for $600 the biggest loss I ever had on dj equipment. Never coming back to rekordbox. This is my job and I can’t be wasting this much time on a playlist. This should never be a problem ever in dj software. Never had this prob with any other software not even the dinky apps on my iPad.

Respectfully.

You say soon with a quotation mark. Does that actually mean soon? Because it's been a couple of years and speaking frankly I'm getting tired of waiting. I want to keep waiting but it's frustrating which makes me want to return to the previous software that I used for 10 years. I'm sure that if you know when, you likely can't disclose it. But what are we looking at here? Weeks? Months? Or is it still years? Any clue on some progress will go a long way with many of us that are frustrated yet patiently waiting.

I didn't say "soon."

Sorry, but it could be coming out tomorrow and I would have to lie to you and say I don't know. Unfortunately we can't tell you until it's officially announced.

We do thank you for your patience.
