5.84 and generic functionality and reliability issues

I've been having intermittent issues that I cant quite figure out. Anyone else having similar problems? Trying to determine if it's my pc/setup/environment vs bugs in the software. I'm currently running on a Dell All In One with an i7 and 12gb of ram with inboard graphics card. It's not a powerhouse, but it should suffice. I picked up an Acer Predator Helios 700 with the latest i7, RTX 2070 GPU and an SSD. I plan to migrate my setup to it eventually. 1) after the update to 5.8.4 I can't record mixes. Once I hit the record button and start the mix a secondary hidden window appears in the toolbar and it essentially locks up the screen. I had to abort a live streaming mix on several occasions. Once I backed out down to 5.8.3 record functionality was restored. 2) I noticed I cant move tracks around to change the order in a playlist if its sorted by anything other than track number. This happens in both 5.8.3 and 5.8.4. Is that normal? Shouldn't be. 3) My cross fader still refuses to terminate audio when far left or right despite checking the recommended settings. Is there a trick to making it work or could I have a bad fader maybe? 4) The constant Kuvo prompt annoyed me enough that I registered and logged it in. Now that I have it logged in the prompt no longer appears. 5) I have latency issues at times and I'm wondering if it's because I have the DDJ1000 usb plugged into a 4 channel USB hub inserted into a USB 3.0 port. Does it need to plugged directly into the pc for faster reaction times? 6) Last night I did another FB Live set and record functionality locked up on me again. I plan to back it down again to 5.8.3 and see if it's resolved. I'm wondering if Serato is a better, more reliable environment. I seem to have alot of issues with Rekordbox including lock ups, random track samples playing on their own with no way to stop them other than to X out of the program and re-launch.

Hey Jake,

1. Sorry to hear about that - I don't think anyone else has reported a similar issue regarding the recording. Does the problem occur with and without the DDJ-1000 connected?

2. The track re-ordering in a playlist is only possible when sorted by the order number. If you're sorted by song name, it can't change the order as it would break the sort.

3. It could be a bad fader - but first, check the setting for the cut-off lag in the rekordbox preferences.

4. You may have seen that if somehow you were logged-out of the rekordbox account. KUVO is the server that does two things; one, allows you to share your track titles when playing, and two, activates rekordbox. I'm glad it's gone away since you logged-in, if it becomes an issue again, let us know.

5. The latency is more likely to be due to your computer specs, background applications, and the audio buffer size. If you have any "performance booster" applications or graphics optimizers, please disable them. If you notice the latency getting worse, you can try opening the task manager to see what applications are running and consuming system resources. You could also try using a latency monitor.

6. See above, and if you're still having problems, please file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.
