Hi Kristian,
Some systems appear to not show that driver block message - but if you open your System Profiler and click Software > Disabled Software, does the DDJ driver appear in the window at the right?
Good Evening,
At the start of this year 2020, I upgraded my macbook to Catalina during a time when rekordbox was still unstable with the operating system. This stopped my DDJ 1000 from working with my macbook.
I can confirm the DDJ 1000 works as I have tried it on another macbook which is running an older OS system.
I have explored all installs / uninstalls of firmware/drivers/software and troubleshooting online but still have not succeeded. I have used the following forum as a guidance and tried the process several different times:
https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022013031
With reference to the forum above, please see my comments / issues per section.
1. I do not get the option to allow the driver when I install. I saw this once when I installed it but even after uninstalling and reinstalling I have never been given the option to allow or deny the driver.
2. Installs with no error.
3. My macbook recognises the device in the system report
4. Pioneer driver utility states 1.1.0 for both driver and utility version
5. Audio Midi recognises the DDJ 1000 device in the MIDI studio, however It does not appear under the audio devices. Once upon a time it used to show here but I remember I deleted it by accident somehow and have never been able to get it to show again. I feel that this may be a key part of the issue here. I have tried creating an aggregate device and not succeeded.
6. I have never been able to complete these step as step 5 does not allow me to see the device. I can navigate to the the MIDI studio and click on the DDJ 1000 > Properties - then I can see transmits and receives. Is this where you adjust the 6ins and 12 outs? This is a step I haven't fully completed during my tests.
7. Step 5 of this section is the output I used to see and still see when using another macbook. I have carried out the other steps in the section successfully.
8. I have carried out this step successfully.
Other related information:
- Have managed to get working through aggregate output but crackles and plays through one channel only. (Laptop speaker only)
- DDJ has no master volume
- Does not play through headphones
- firmware update process completed successfully to 1.07
- System spec: Macbook Pro, Catalina 10.15.3
- Rekordbox 5.8.5
If there is any more information you require, please let me know.
I look forward to your response. Thank you in advance.

The DDJ driver does not appear as a disabled driver.
Kristian,
Hi, After following the steps, the security prompt box from step 9 still did not appear.
When did you check it - during the installation or after some time?
I checked during the installation and once it had completed. I carried out steps 1-8 twice to ensure.
Generating a System Report on a Mac (OS X)
1. Connect DDJ-1000 to your Mac.
2. Open the Apple menu and click About This Mac.
3. Click the System Report... button, then the System Information application should appear.
4. Please wait 1-2 minutes to allow the system report to generate all system information, then in the Menu Bar, click File > Save...
5. The save dialog will appear. In the Save As: field, name the file SystemProfiler and select Desktop as where it will be saved.
6. Email that file to forums@pioneerdj.com and I'll take a look.
