MAC OS Catalina 10.15.3 // rekordbox 5.8.5 // .aiff audio file importing with sample rate of 0Hz

Hello,

As the title states, I am running Mac OS Catalina 10.15.3 and working with rekordbox 5.8.5. I am importing .aiff files from my usual library directory. Around 1/3 of them are showing up with a sampling rate of 0Hz. This is a new issue

The issue I am experiencing is the following:

Leading up to error:

  1. I have a number of audio files on my internal SSD
  2. They are all in .aiff format
  3. The files have been read into my rekordbox collection from my usual library directory
  4. They have been added to a playlist (773 tracks, 51.2GB)
  5. Exported the playlist to a USB device (64GB)

Expected behaviour:

  • Files are added to USB device

Actual behaviour:

  • rekordbox throws an error
  • "Some files have not been imported. Please check error log..." or something along those lines

Further information

  • The error log is simply a list of files that were not exported. A screenshot is attached.
  • The files are all listed in rekordbox as having a sample rate of 0Hz
  • Checking file information via Finder (cmd + I) reveals a sampling rate of 44,1KHz
  • Running 'finfo fileName.aiff |grep "bit rate"' from the command line returns bit rate: 1411200 bits per second
  • I have re-encoded the file as .aiff using Platinum Notes 4 and imported the newly created file into rekord box. This did not solve the problem
  • I have read my entire library directory into iTunes. Here the files have a 44,100 KHz sample rate
  • The file names are not longer than 256 characters
  • The file names do not contain special characters

Can anyone give me a pointer on what direction to go in? This is really messing with my flow, as it's affecting around one third of my library. I am running out of options with what to do here.

Thanks in advance!!

It's possible the file & path is longer than 255, thus not being able to export, but the 0Hz thing is a bit unusual. Email me a couple of those files please - forums@pioneerdj.com, I'll check them out and see what's up.
