Dear Pioneer,
A lot of us are eagerly waiting what new version of Rekordbox DJ is coming up!
It is really time to inform us about the upcoming changes in the service system and why we have to wait to purchase a Rekordbox DJ license key.
In January you already mention this in Rekordbox DJ 5, now it is April and still no response besides posts in which Pioneer is asking why everyone is talking about a version 6 / new version?!
Well because it is the only conclusion you can make when seeing the warning in Rekordbox.
Also it would be great to get an idea what great new replacement for the CDJ-NXS2 series is coming up.
I think I can speak for a lot of us satisfied Pioneer users that it just takes way too long and Pioneer is losing credibility big time.
In the end your customers choose for Pioneer to provide the next level equipment and functionality as the market leader you are.
Your main competitor offers much more functionality, which is exactly what is to be improved on the NXS2 series, which was introduced more than four years ago.
Maybe it is a strategy to wait before the competitors products are actually in stores before posting announcements of what is to come, but please don't tell us it will then take 10-12 weeks before it is available in stores as the slow boat has to travel to all regions.
Everyone will understand that the health situation has delaying consequences but I can't imagine that your announcement story is not ready for 95% to be told to us customers.
Please understand from our side that we now have a lot of time to play with for instance new software as a lot of us need to stay at home due to the health situation.
The virus will affect the budget customers will have to spend when thinking of new equipment, certainly as DJ's are out of work and clubs are closed.
But we have a choice for a decent alternative which will be at the stores shortly and will have a very interesting price level which is expected to be much lower than a successor to the NXS2 series.
Pioneers main con is that you have the great Rekordbox DJ software, of which I am a fan big time, but if you are announcing that something is coming up you can't have us wait for 3-4 months, to be honest this trick is getting very boring.
Are you not more than worried that "not communicating" will have very dramatic consequences for your brand, I would not be arrogant in this if I would be Pioneer (but I am not ;).
So come on share the light, excite us so we have some relieve from the negatives that are in the world right now.
Please be healthy and stay save and thank you in advance for your response!
Kind regards,
John
