I've got instructions here on how to do that; it's not an official solution, but it works.
I'd love to be able to use my home pc for importing, sorting, organising and updating tags and genres etc, and then have it automatically sync to my laptop for actually playing.
I already keep all my music on Google drive, why can't the rekordbox catalogue be kept there and work across two computers?
Any possibility Pioneer will enable this do you think?

I've been using this sync features for almost one year and it works perfectly
@venturibox > Glad to hear someone's been using it that long without hiccups! :D
Thanks Pulse, this is great. I'm going to try it tomorrow.. Just one question, when you say it's imperative you can't have rekordbox open on two computers at the same time, I'm going to have to be really careful about this. What will happen? It is only if there are changes etc?
The reason I wrote that is because Dropbox ends up creating "conflicted" copies if it tries to write changes to the file but it's in use already elsewhere. That would just result in a mess, so to avoid that, just open it on one machine at a time. :)
Hi Pulse, thanks for your help here.
I'm giving this a go right now but so far it has not worked - I would really appreciate some advice on how to get it working please - here's what I've done.
1. My music is already stored in Google drive: "C:\Users\Colly\Google Drive\DJ Music "
2. I created a sub directory called Database: "C:\Users\Colly\Google Drive\DJ Music\Database"
2. I found the rekordbox3.settings file - found the line <VALUE name="masterDbDirectory" - and after that the VAL I changed this to val="C:\Users\Colly\Google Drive\DJ Music\Database"/>
3. Did similar for Sampler and Recordings
4. Then I went to C:\Users\Colly\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox and copied these files into the Database folder on Google Drive
datafile.edb
ExtData.edb
Then I tried opening Rekordbox but it didnt work. I deleted the settings file and renamed the backup I had created back to the original, and it worked so its fine again.
Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Is it something to do with the database folder being within the music folder? I'm not sure I understand how to tell it where the music is... But as I said the music holder has not changed at all.
I have not even tried to get it working on the 2nd pc yet as I need to get the database reading form Google drive first I'm sure...
I hope its something simple as I really want to get this working so I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks
Anyone? I'll paypal $20 to anyone who can make this work for me, its driving me nuts. Followed the instructions verbatim 3 times now and still its not working. Rekordbox opens but no music in there. I really want this to work. Please?
Sorry, it works for Dropbox but as it's unofficial, I'm really not supposed to provide support for this.
I will let you know that rekordbox 6 has a new cloud sync function that improves upon this unofficial method.
Wow, ok my timing is awful! Just a few days earlier and I would have got support? Uuugghhh. I understand but I'm ranging.
I'm a bedroom DJ I have no need for a pro cloud solution, I'd just like to be bale to import, tag, comment and cue on my pc and not my dj laptop.
If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it colinfitz (ag) gmail dot com
@Colly > If you're looking at using Dropbox, I can help you because I created the guide for it, but it's not officially supported, and I said you're on your own if you want to try using another cloud service. Sorry!
Thank you! That would be great. Ok I have Dropbox too, let me move the Tunes and give it a go first and I'll let you know. Thanks.
