You can continue to use your license with ver. 5 so you won't lose video.

.....but that's not what Pioneer customers want. They bought a license, and they expect to be able to use it with the new software.

Sorry, this is a major version update - and old purchases are not free upgrades.

Also not happy with the stupid pricing structure. I paid for my license and I expect it to work. Why do I want to pay for a money grabbing sub, what do it get for it? Never going to use cloud. I am looking to upgrade CDJs, not sure if it’s going to be Pioneer now. Need to think about my next move.

@E CSL > rekordbox 4 added Performance mode, and introduced paid plus-packs for DJ, DVS, and Video.

rekordbox 5 allowed users to upgrade for free.

rekordbox 6 is a new major version release where we changed to a hardware unlock /  subscription plan.

@Michael > And your license (for rekordbox 5) will continue to work. We're not taking that away from you.

@E CSL > Well, you actually get more than you had with 5... but I'll let you discover them on rekorbox.com, as I'm trying to quell the tide of questions about licensing.

No, those are included in the lighting features, which everyone has -- and if you have an RB-DMX1, you can use with lights.

You only lose the RMX effects as that plus-pack does not transfer to rekordbox 6.

So you will continue to update version 5 for us users who have a licence key? I doubt that. In the future we will be screwed over.

No, there will be no further updates to rekordbox 5.

Why do you think you're being "screwed over"?
