Turned on laptop and random message "Cannot find master database"

Hey guys I have rekord box installed on my laptop with all my libraries ect

I turned on my laptop this morning and randomly I got the message

"Cannot find master database - Launch rekordbox after connecting a drive where master database is stored, do you want to open master data base in default drive?"

I only use rekord box on my laptop (ive never used an external library because all the music files are on my laptop drive) and ive never seen this message before.

I dont want to screw my library of 6 years, What do I do? please help

I'm going to guess Windows, and I'm going to guess that your external drive letter has changed from the last time rekordbox used it, meaning it's not at the expected location.

I'd recommend re-assigning the drive a permanent letter (like M:) and then open rekordbox, allow it to create a blank default database internally, then open the preferences and select the M: drive as the database you want to open.

This exact same thing happened to me.

I turned on my laptop opened rekordbox and got:

"Cannot Find Master Database"

Everything is on my laptop. My entire library. I do have an exernal usb with my latest playlists etc.

When I closed the "Cannot find Master database " message....then it said "unknown application error.

Please Help
