Dropbox sync issue

Hi all, I have a problem and I’m not quite sure how to describe it. I’m currently on Rekordbox 6 and trying out the new Dropbox sync feature. I’ve set everything up to sync to Dropbox only instead of storing locally, Yet Dropbox itself still saves the files locally on my computer taking up hard drive space. When I set Dropbox to only store these files online and then proceed to play a file on Rekordbox, it then takes the file and stores it locally. Basically what I want to know is, is it possible to have the rekordbox/Dropbox sync 100% online?

Dropbox operates with either online-only or local. Online-only files stay completely in the cloud and don't occupy space on your computer. For Rekordbox, you still need the files available locally, but they are in the dropbox folder, so can still be accessed on multiple devices/be backed up.

I just tried RB 6.5.2 + Dropbox, now if I have wifi OFF and try to play a track that is usually on dropbox the app crashes! It should be able to default to local external drive instead. However, you can only either move files to dropbox or copy to dropbox. But the status of the file is local media/dropbox for Rekordbox.
Major concern for me now... It should be flawless to load local media files, when offline from wifi.

Running: MacbookPro 16GB ram, OS Mojave.

@Adam > Close... you can have Dropbox set to online-only for use with rekordbox, and then when you load a song, the file is requested and downloaded, so it takes a moment longer to load.

It can't default to another file if you've moved it to the Dropbox folder.

I'm not sure why you experienced a crash, but I'd suggest you file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.
