There are some intelligent playlist bugs that are already being squashed in 6.0.1; you can check out the beta or wait just a bit.
This is very frustrating
I have an intelligent playlist created in RB5 which works fine:
Match [any of the]
Genre = (5 genres selected)
I have created a similar intelligent playlist in RB6, and I wish to include Year to be in the range of 1996-1999. However, it picks up nothing when I enter the year parameters.
The only way I can get this to work, is to create a playlist that
* matches [all of the] 'following conditions'
* select the Year (is in the range)
and then
* (does not contain) every other genre I don't want listed,
This is frustrating when you have a lot of genres and are limited with the number of conditions you can add and seems a bit backwards.
I hope that makes sense :)

That's quite frustrating, intelligent lists do look basic.
The only other workaround I can see is to create an intelligent list based on year. With that playlist displayed then open the Track Filter screen. Under 'Genre' click the 'OR' button and select the genres you want. If you click away from the list and back again RB appears to keep the listing which is good for a session but once you close RB the Track Filter resets.
I've just tried the BETA and there's no change in what I want to achieve
Selecting the below brings back an empty list:

If I change 'Match' to 'any of the', obviously it brings back everything that matches that conditions, including tracks from dates beyond that range..
Looks correct to me - you're asking it to match tracks that match all of the above Genres and the date range, hence no tracks.
Changing it to any would mean it matches any of those genres OR the date range.
You would need a multi level query to do what you want- any of these genres AND this date range.
yeah, I think we need an option for multi-level queries
It's in the request list already, thanks for the feedback.
Great. Let's hope it's soon, as intelligent playlists are handy when doing impromptu nlive feeds during this lockdown caper.
