Importing Tracks From USB

When I import tracks from usb to rekordbox everything works fine until I remove that usb from the computer. Now these imported files can  not be located. Why is this? When the tracks are imported I should not need the usb anymore. How can I fix this? Do I need to load these tracks in some rekordbox folder on my computer somewhere?

When you add songs to rekordbox that are physically located on a USB device, it's not adding them to the computer - it merely indexes them from where they exist and references that location when they are loaded. If the USB drive is removed, then they will appear as missing.

The options are to keep the USB drive connected or copy the files to your internal drive before importing them to rekordbox.
