Extreme lagging issues with brand new laptop

Hi guys,

I've just bought a new laptop 11th Gen i7-1165G7 2.8 GHz 16GB RAM. I'm running Rekordbox 5.8.6 and I was noticing a delay of about 3 or 4 seconds when moving a track into a playlist, although what's much more concerning is that if I don't use the program for a few minutes, when I go to play a track, the track only plays at an unbelievably slow speed, like 1BPM.

When I increased the latency to 512 the 3 or 4 second delay seemed to get fixed, only for a while. When this all happened again I put the buffer size to 2048 and that finally got the track to play properly.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Cheers,

Al

Hi Al,

Sorry to hear about that -- it could well be a conflict from other software causing the issue. Before you file an inquiry ticket here, I'll ask you to check for BIOS and driver updates for your onboard devices from the computer or motherboard manufacturer. We're aware of issues with 11th gen Intel CPUs which have a conflict with 3rd party audio devices, and typically those will be addressed by updates from the manufacturer. The slow playback could be due to that issue.

If, once you've updated, you still have problems, file a ticket and provide a system report, we'll get you sorted!

The issue is now fixed, however just an FYI it didn't seem to get fixed by doing the BIOS update, rather it was the Realtek Audio Driver update that seemed to be what did the trick.
