Hi all,
Sorry about this issue - our engineers are investigating the cause and will provide more information shortly.
Yesterday morning I updated the OS on my MacbookPro to Big Sur 11.5 and updated Rekordbox to Version 6.5.2. Now I cannot export any of the tracks in my RekordBox library to any of my flash drives. Not a single track will export. And I've tested this with multiple flash drives, one of them which has 40+ Rekordbox playlists already on it (so I know the flash drive isn't the problem). Dragging and dropping the playlists from my library onto the flash drive does not work. And the Sync Manager does not work either. Every single time I get the "One or more files were not exported. Check the log file saved in the "Documents" folder." PLEASE HELP!

I am unable to export my rekordbox playlists onto my USB.
The export process always fails, stating that "One or more files were not exported". I had a look through the export log to see if there's a reason for this, but the log has no information about any errors, it simply shows me the Artist, Title, Album and Location of the exported tracks so it's completely useless to me.
I have tried using two separate USBs formatted to FAT32. Same issue happens if I try to export the playlists individually instead of exporting the entire folder.
All of the tracks inside the playlists seem to be analysed without any issues and play back correctly.
I'm doing this in Export mode.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
- OS: Big Sur 11.5.1
- Rekordbox: 6.5.2
I'm experiencing the same issue (which I mentioned in the following thread). Probably related to the Mac OS Big Sur 11.5 update. I do hope a new update of Rekordbox is going to be released very soon.
After wasting an hour on this god forsaken login system that will seemingly never get fixed I can say this is also happening to me.
I am not sure if this will help anyone or if this is 100% the problem but here is what I discovered. My track files have long meta tags.
I used a tag stripper to remove the long meta data and then the tracks imported.
I tested this again this morning with a couple tracks. As long as the meta data was removed the tracks, imported to Rekordbox and then exported to USB stick. I can also load the track and play on CDJ3000.
Hopefully this helps something is whacked out, I had no choice but to keep messing with this as I have to get some tracks exported!

Hi Pulse,
I did that as this has been going on for some time. I tried on 3 different machines with Safari, Chrome, Brave and it still just keeps going to login prompt. Ultimately it worked in Edge in privacy mode on Windows.
For the most part I have given up as this just needs to be fixed.
I do want to contribute but I cant spend that much time just to login when this has been going on for years now. I am sure you want it resolved too.
Anyway I did want to chime in on this one as it seems to be a more severe issue. Not sure if that has to do with this directly or not but its the only thing I could do to get the files to import and then export to an external device.
I found this out the hard way when I loaded a playlist and half the tracks were not there over the weekend. Still managed to get on but not optimal.
11.5 seemed to be a rewrite of sorts given the size of the download and release notes, perhaps something with security in preferences is not playing nice.
Thanks for the input!
Hi All, I am experiencing this too since 23/07/2021.
I regularly update my usb stick with new tunes. However this week, when I played my set I noticed that tracks that should have been sync'd over to my USB were missing.
I haven't changed any settings, although I'm pretty sure my computer has updated at least once "big sur" Mac.
I wiped my back up USB clean and then tried to Sync from fresh, only to find half my tunes completely missing.
I'm glad you have your engineers on the case because this has been very worrying, and no response from tech support on WhatsApp.
Will leave it with you but my next set is Sunday... would be nice to sort out some new tunes for then.. lol
(p.s. Just checking this is not an evil plot by communists to bring the entire DJing world to its knees?)
peace and love, DJ Riverz
If this is possible to define when issue will be fixed ? Export issue in 11.5 macos
btw: I am looking forward to get any possible workaround until update will be released.
Our engineers seem to believe this is only affecting FAT32 drives; are any of you exporting to HFS+?
I'm not exporting to HFS+ drives. I wasn't even't aware that is possible. Is HFS+ supported by the hardware devices (e.g. CDJ2000 NXS, CDJ2000 NXS2, ...)?
I can test again tonight after work, my drive is HFS+ and i haven't had any issues on Big Sur, ill grab one and try FAT32 also
Hey Pulse.
FYI
I tested with HFS and it worked but I may not be a good candidate because mine worked after removing all meta tags.
I just exported my entire playlist collection to HFS and it worked perfectly. No issues.
@BriChi please keep in mind its only on 11.5 update version of Big Sur.
That is correct. I downloaded Big Sir 11.5.1 /Rekordbox 6.5.2 updates and began having the issue. Just tried the HFS+ format solution and exporting works.
I can also confirm that reformatting the thumb drive fixed my issues as well.
This worked for me too.
For anyone new to this issue, it seems that if you use a flash drive or hard drive which is written in FAT32, you can check this by clicking info on your hard drive, Rekordbox is not syncing accurately, if you have an apple mac, 11.5 big sur and Rekordbox 6.5.2.
The work around is to convert your drive to Mac-OS format (HFS+) this wipes the drive and allows Rekordbox to write correctly. To do this I used disk utility on my mac... but note it wipes your drive clean, so best to back up the drive somewhere first.
I was lucky enough to have spare drive to try this on before wiping my main drive.
Hope this helps, hopefully Rekordbox will confirm/fix this soon.
I just wasted 2 hrs driving myself mad trying to figure out why the music I had spent another hour buying/downloading wouldn't export :( I just updated to 11.5 yesterday and my USB is written in FAT32. Unfortunately the music collection on my USB isn't backed up, so reformatting my flash drive doesn't seem to be a good work around at this time. Really hope there's a better solution ASAP :(
Same issue and formatting to HFS+ didn't work either. Frustrating.
Ok got it to work by:
-going to Disk Utility
-selecting the USB drive
-clicking 'erase' then when the pop up opens:
-select the drop down format menu, then:
-change from 'FAT' to the 'Mac OS Extended...' (pictured below) then:
-clicking the erase button.
Are there any updates on this? HFS+ doesn't seem to work when I put my USB in the decks and I have a set in 3 days so need to get my music onto my USB.
Need to be able to export in FAT32
I am unable to use HFS+ on the players I am using.
I am able to export to FAT32 using Engine Prime software on OSX 11.5, so hopefully this can be fixed quickly
This issue is thanks to Apple not correctly assigning the file attributes after the update to 11.5 (or 11.5.1); please try the following command in Terminal:
sudo xattr -cr <filepath to audio files>
That should fix things allowing the music to be exported to HFS+ or FAT32 formatted drives.
@Pulse also the same in my case. It doesn't work:
xattr: No such file: /PolHD/Users/polhd/Music/iTunes/iTunes
Pulse, I think that's worked for me, thank you!
When entering the path, press the TAB key and it will help auto-complete portions. You can also use relative paths by starting with the ~ (tilde) to represent the current user. For example ~/Music
That will apply to all content within and below that folder level.
You're welcome @pulse
here is the video how to fix it, you don't really need the sudo in front of the attr, but it can take care of some other possible problems.
